Sorry for the delay, it has been a busy week. Hannah Kate had to have an MRI on Tuesday at Children's Hospital to check for tethered cord, but thankfully the results came back that she did not have that or any other spinal cord issues. The MRI was hard on all of us because they had to stick her four different places for an IV with no success, and ultimately had to put it in her head. The Nurse had to hug me because I was crying and Hannah Kate screamed until the medicine went in through her IV. She did great and made lots of new friends in the Nurses and Doctors at Children's. She is such a little social butterfly that she may run for office someday. Just a flash of those big baby blues and her smile that lights up her face and hearts will melt.
She started rolling over on her own on Thursday. We are so proud of her and she constantly practices every time we lay her down. Last night she was a bit fussy and didn't seem like her normal happy self this morning, so I made an appointment with her Primary Care Doctor and they got her right in. She just has a little congestion which can be alleviated by an OTC nasal spray and she is officially teething. Also, she now weighs 11 lbs, 10 oz. She is pretty sleepy today, but we did get some tummy time in. I have attached a picture of her playing.
Thank you for your continued support and prayers! Parenthood is so amazing! I just told my parents on Tuesday that I just stand back and look at Hannah Kate and feel so lucky that we were blessed with such a sweet, beautiful, smart little girl. We are also so blessed to have such wonderful people that work with Hannah Kate and truly care about her. I plan to devote a little section of this blog to recognize, promote, and thank these individuals. They are like part of our family now.
Glad the MRI went well. That happened with Riley when she had a CT scan when she was a baby. It's tougher on the parents, just keep that in mind!!! Hannah Kate is going to do great things with her life!!! Keep up the great work of being a mommy. I love you!!!
